These bags make a very special fashion statement. They do not look like the bag next door but you think twice before considering it elegant. For sure, it has nothing to do with the classical shapes and materials. But fashion, like people, should dare to be different and so are these bags, very much inspired by some usual cotton bags very popular in Europe. Each part of the tile is fixed on a black net. The open end stays free, a message of freedom and nonchalance. It goes for the day or for the night, for the office, on the road or as a statement, with sport or elegant shoes or outfit. 

But besides the 3D special impressions of the tiles, the colours are bold. Metallic silver, brown, black or blue, various combinations of colours. The collection has both items for men and women, including bagpacks or caps. The prices vary around 1,000 EUR the piece. The line was launched in 2000, the platinum pouches being the latest products in the collection. 

Some of the bags can be folded further by the owner, creating new shapes. The brand had teamed up in the last year with various designers for creating interesting bags  ideas where the owner is not only a passive user but it is part of the fashion statement too. 

My newest colourful love: 2 in 1 Green Lamarthe handbag

It was just another summer day, when I entered Galeries Lafayette Berlin to kill a bit of time and have a look at the newest models of bags, hats and maybe for some blogging inspiration. Then, I saw this beautiful Lamarthe bag. So beautiful that I spent more time than scheduled in admiration.

Maybe the colour is a big too strong, but with a simple summer outfit - yellow or pink salmon or light brown/beige, or if bold enough, some orange, it brings a lot of happiness. As for the shows, if there are matchable green shows, why not, otherwise, some beige or yellow sandals can be recommended as well. The bag is spacious enough for a lot of important items, from your tablet to your phone, a make-up set, your purse and even a kindle. Only be careful not to overload it as it is hand-carried. 

It is made of quality leather and the interior is coated with quality silk. 

Mostly a daytime accessory, when folded it can easily be carried on for an evening party. This multi-functional quality is an important asset and if you can buy it on sales - right now the price goes around 150 EUR. - it's a very serious investment. As it is summer, don't forget to wear a light make-up!

Fashion recommendations: Miu Miu bags

I recently saw to one of my friends some interesting Miu Miu bags that made me curious to check more models and patterns. With a half day on my own, I decided to spend some time in the luxury paradise of the KaDeWe, in Berlin. Miu Miu has two areas there: at the third floor, where most bags brands are represented, where they present shoes, and at the ground level, with a whole elegant cubicle dedicated to elegant bags.

The majority of models suit a busy life, are spacious - including for your iPad and a small book and a makeup purse. For the big models, the lateral pocket helps you to better organize your space, with space for keys and your phone. There is also a zip pocket inside. Most colours are decent, and can be matched with various outfits and shoes. Useful for those used with a busy life is also the shoulder strap that makes walking easier, especially if you have one kid on your right hand and another in the stroller. 

This model and colour is my favourite: elegant, simple, spacious enough, without encouraging me to carry to many unuseful items. It also has a shoulder strap. The leather is semi-gloss, looking very good and preferable for any occasion. It can work especially if you have a late restaurant lunch after a full day in the office. 

This soft calf leather top handle bag has a well portioned space: three inside compartments, a special cell phone pocket and another zipped pocket. The colour can be a bit pretentious, but it suits very well the pastel spring outfits. 

The next two models are very much my style. There are two inside zip and phone pockets. the detachable chain and leather shoulder strap. 

 The orange version is more joyous and in tone with the hot season.

Back to the have-it-all model: this green matelassé bag can carry almost everything you need for a whole busy day. It has a snap closure and can be easily carried either only by the handle or with the detachable shoulder strap. The model is available in vivid yet decent colours. With a full black outfit or a black-and-white combination it does not require a special dress.
