5 Things to NEVER Wear

Summer is the season when more than ever you can see many inadvertencies and faux-fashion pas. In Berlin or elsewhere, teenagers or just too busy to give a second chance to the mirror impressions, we are all doing mistakes once in a while. This post is aimed to help you to avoid them.

Spaghetti blouses and, in general, any kind of spaghetti clothes. Hungry? Go to a restaurant, you do not havve to wear them with you! 

Holes in the jeans...I just can't stand this. It looks so cheap and no, not rebel at all, even if you are a teenager. Random cuts of the jeans looking just two steps away from the garbage bin. You better do not wear them at all if you hae a little respect for yourself.

Buggy pants. I am not a pants wearer in general, but this style it sends a message of neglect and indifference to the wearer. Even if you want to wear them only in the house, such items look like you are ready to take the garbage out.

Army prints. No single way. Even you have been or are about to go in the Army or any other military love you nurture. Except if you want to look as a special forces employee. But there is no elegance or distinction or anything good in terms of good taste with such an outfit.

From the same category with the previous item, the Army-looking boots are unfriendly, aggressive, ugly, non-elegant and, in general, very inappropriate for a lady.

5 Street Outfits from Forever 21

Forget that some ugly weather forecasts were telling something of a high probability of snow in Berlin. Forget also about given age or some shyness that if you enter the Forever 21 shop, for instance, everyone will look with strange eyes as you are far beyond the 21 thing. It is just a matter of prejudice and this blog does not care about such wrong attitudes. While waiting for the real summer and many outdoor activities, I hunted five street outfits from Forever 21.

Spring blouse - 24 EUR. It gives you a hippy free air. It goes with everything, from skirts to denim, Converse or boots. Boots because it is fancy not because you have to, ok...?

Indian fringe jacket - 63 EUR. Discover your hidden Indian soul with this light jacket. I will match it with a long flowery skirt or some middle denim. Suits very well the cold springs or the Indian summer. Why not a cowboy hat too?

Green long sleeve shirt - 28 EUR. For the long hikings when you still want to feel in a good fashion shape, this military influenced shirt is a match. The number of combintions it goes with is impressive so you just need to add it to the wardrobe and start thinking. You can also wear it in any season so it is a long-term investment too.

Black bag - 29 EUR. I have a steady and deep relationship with my bags. They have to be comfy, easy to wear and with enough space for a purse, big book, makeup necessities etc. etc. This bag is almost close to my bag soulmate, except that maybe the handle is too short. It goes with various outfits and suits different occasions and moments of the day.

Cotton black dress - 24 EUR. Wear it for a beach walk in the evening, or for visitig the local weekly market. Or for some casual garden reading. It is very simple and can get more life thanks to some colourful accessorizes. Comfy sport shoes and a denim jacket will make you feel like Forever 21. 

Fashion tips: H&M jewellery collection

I am very very careful with the jewellery I wear - more than with the shoes, to be honest - but when completely by accident I discovered some items from the latest accessoires collection by H&M, I was more than surprised. I usually associate their jewellery with the teenage-kind of items but this time I was proved to be snobbishly wrong. Most of the metals are gold-looking, combined with various stones. The assymetric row stones are very attractive in fact, and they look pretty natural - not only in the pictures.

The silver and black combinations are inspired by the 1001 Nights, it seems, massive pieces with intricated chains. The metal looks pretty cheap so it did not impress me too much. 

But on the goldie side of the collection, there are more attractive options, like the opal and glittering gold, which can be used not only for the office sport outfit, but also for some non-pretentious evening date or party.  

These bracelets are actually my favourites, as I love the finely-shaped metal with the moderatelly sized stones. For each bracelet, there are three colourful stones that can be matched to different outfits, both in term of colour and degree of sophistication. 

 The Latin American inspiration of these earrings is chic enough to wear them for a couple of days in a row.

 The rings are also nicely cut, with flower models or simply stones. The prices are very attractive too: with an investment of 10 Euro one can find easily two matching items. 

The complicated geometry of some make it an interesting accesoire for the day. Regardless of the reason why you are living the house, do it in style!

The earrings are offered in different combinations and pairs which makes you feel free and special, regardless of your age and your budget. Especially when you travel, you need to still feel good, without being exposed to the danger of losing your family treasures or being too ostentative. 

Not all earings look authentic and high-end but if you have some time to search, you can find for sure something interesting. As for me, I promise that, at least once in a while, will be less snobbish and will check non-brand jewellery.
