Fruity salad, post-TuBishvat

I will not talk now about how many fruits I had in my TuBishvat salad. Just to give an idea, there were more than 30 but the work of art was not my work at all, so I will not start giving advice and stealing recipes. One week after, I was out of time and looking for a very light Shabbes meals and the fruit salad was the best answer to all my problems.

My combination was quite modest compared with what I had the Shabbes before, but there were still a couple of delicious fruits, namely:
- papaya (1)
- kiwi (2)
- bananas (2)
- dates (8)
- figues (8)
- strawberries (7)
- 100 gr. coco raspel

The sugar of dates and figues was enough for not adding any more brown or white sugar. Unfortunatelly, I was not able to find some blueberries and I avoided to add some lemon or tangerines or whipped cream. All I wanted was an original taste of the fruits.

The preparation took around 15 minutes. I kept the salad in the fridge for around 2 hours before serving. I am so sorry that the salad is no more...

My new brand salad with almost everything

What upon an afternoon, I was so full of imagination, that I added in this salad almost everything available in my basket of vegetables:
Greek cheese, creatively chopped
Rucola
Olives
Avocado
Tomatoes
Champignons
Salt
Avocado oil
Corn
Mixed together little by little - with the hands - all the components are easily learning to live together. For the moment, the salad is impatiently waiting in the refrigerator the swalling moment.
Bon Appetit!

Autumn is around: Tartes aux fruits

I tried to make all the possible combinations: some fresh plums, kiwi, figs, compot (ananas and peaches). The final result is a very rich enjoyment of the senses which can be tasted with a selection of English tea. Time for a five o'clock meeting!

Book review: Use your Mozzarella

Mozzarella. Köstliche Rezepte aus Bella Italia was my inspiration for a couple of nice recipes using mozzarella as ingredient. Excepting sweet combinations - at least according to this book - you can try in a relatively short time and with reduced costs various meals: with balsamico and tomatoes (p.22), baguette with garlic (p.26), with olives (p. 28), avocados and crostini (p.30) - of course I tried it, as a fanatic fan of avocados, with zucchini (p.60) or mushrooms (p.70).

Easy to read, nice pictures and a smart format, allowing you to put in your bag in the morning, on the way to your office, for returning back with inspiration and a fresh mozzarella in your pocket.
I wonder if it is a special word for enjoying eating mozzarella?

Green and Red salad

In this house, we are crazy about salads. Without being 100% vegetarians, be in winter, spring or autumn, we are unable to refuse the offer of a colourful and healthy salad.

This time, we tried a Red-Green-White combination. As you probably know, the colours are having an important influence on increasing our appetite.

The receipe:
4 big tomatoes
200 gr. mozarella
rucola, on taste
garlic, on taste
1 avocado
sesame seeds, on taste
olive oil, on taste

That's all!
